Delivering Comprehensive Care: The Exceptional Assistant is a team workshop/forum exploring four critical components necessary to patients saying “yes” to comprehensive care. This is designed for the entire team and is held in Oklahoma City by Dr. Michael Fling and his team. The following topics are addressed:
The New Patient Experience- “Quit telling patients what they need, and help them make choices about what they want”. Take this to heart and completely reconstruct the new patient experience. A step by step protocol for the new patient experience will be explored.
Selling Comprehensive Care- Team involvement, case presentation and consistency with technical, managerial and laboratory procedures are addressed. Primary “Keys” to making the sell will be addressed. Utilization of digital technology (Cadent I Tero) and methods of internal and external marketing will also be explored.
Empowering Team- The need for procedural protocols are mandatory as it is necessary for team to be empowered with known expectations. Having these protocols documented creates congruent expectations. Examples of various protocols are discussed and a complete protocol book is offered.
Systemizing the Assistant- So many details must be completed to ensure comprehensive care is delivered at the highest level. It isn’t always practical for the doctor to complete all of the tasks necessary for comprehensive care. Utilization of the lab assistant and systems for success in the lab will be presented. Techniques for modelwork fabrication, case articulation, provisionalization fabrication, photography and lab organization are all addressed.
This seminar is intended to expose your staff to the concepts and items that are used by Dr. Fling and his staff every day. It is not hands-on training. He and his staff will be in attendance. If you are as motivated as most by this seminar, then your attendance qualifies you to return at a discounted rate to the ACT 1 or ACT 2 course where you will spend time with Dr. Fling’s staff and have hands-on training. - Intra-oral photographs
- Downloading and storing photos
- Creating Photo Albums in PowerPoint 2007

- Taking Diagnostic Study Casts and Records
- Mounting and Finishing Diagnostic Study Casts
- Fabricating stints for additive bis-acrylic overlays
- Fabricating composite overlays for illustrating free gingival margin changes
ACT 2:
- Fabricating indirect acrylic provisional restorations
- Fabricating direct bis-acrylic restorations
- Fabricating implant retained provisional restorations
- Customizing emergence profiles and margins on implant retained restorations
- Polishing provisional restorations to a life-like finish
- Utilizing the I-Tero digital impression system
- Understanding the rationale and profitability with lab standardization
