Life is a lot like cooking. You have no clue where it’s going!
Cooking is messy. Dishes are everywhere, and the counter is covered in spills. The same thing happens when you’re trying to achieve a goal. Before you reach the finish line, you’re going to face obstacles. So much happens when you travel from A to Z. And it never looks pretty.
There’s no avoiding it: the middle is MESSY.
If your life feels like a mess, that’s good! Embrace the moments when you doubt yourself. Embrace all the times you get overwhelmed and feel like giving up. Messes are important because they make you who you are. Make the mess your message.
Wherever you are in life, whatever you’re trying to achieve, I encourage you to sit in the messy middle. Don’t try to be perfect; instead, just get to 80 percent. Remind yourself that messes are temporary, and in the end, those hard struggles will be worth it.
When you’re in that messy middle, remember: consistency is king! Check out my full discussion with Dr. Kevin Groth on how consistency can take you anywhere.
