Stop Being Busy Just to Be Busy

People like to brag about being busy. When asked how they’re doing, people often say, “I’m just so busy all the time!” If someone says they’re NOT busy, that person comes across as lazy or unsuccessful. And that’s exactly the problem.

Being busy isn’t the same as being productive. You can be busy and accomplish a whole lot of nothing. Being busy is really a lack of focus. It’s trying to cram as many things into your day as possible.

Stop being busy for the sake of being busy! Instead, trade “busy” for “productive.”

Being productive is the real way to get stuff done. Ask yourself, “How am I filling my time?” Be intentional with what goes into your schedule. You don’t have to fill it to the max, either. You can go home early if you want! That’s not being lazy. That’s a reward for being productive.

Too many dentists wear “busy” like a badge of honor. For me personally, I’d rather be productive!
Is today going to be busy or productive? The choice is up to you. Show your team this quick video to put them in a productive mindset.
