Patients care about their teeth. They want dentists who care, too. We’ve heard the same stories over and over from patients who went to DSO offices. They thought the dentists cared because…
“They gave me a goodie bag!”
“They scheduled me the next morning!”
“They complimented my outfit!”
After a while, patients don’t feel like patients anymore. They feel like numbers in a system. DSOs will take anyone who walks through the door. With that business model, do you think they actually care?
Your practice is different. You don’t just fill cavities, install crowns and extract teeth. You want to know if a patient is in pain, and if so, how that affects their quality of life. When they walk into the exam room, you want to know their goals for oral health, whether it’s to sleep better at night, enjoy their favorite foods or smile with pride.
It’s hard for patients to see the difference between a DSO and a private practice. If they choose you, it’s for a good reason. Never stop showing how much you care!
Thought about selling to a DSO? Think again! Kirk sits down with Dr. Barrett Straub and Dr. Jeff Osborne to discuss why the future is bright for private practice owners. Listen to the FULL podcast episode here!
