I loved collecting baseball cards as a kid. It was so cool to see all the different players! Now, I don’t look at the pictures. I’m more curious about the player stats. To be honest, I didn’t really notice them until I got into dentistry.
Just like baseball players, your patients have hidden stats, too. They all have an APV, or annual patient value. You want to collect patients with a high APV!
Look at your roster. Who has the highest APV, and who has the lowest? How can you raise a person’s APV, so you don’t have to market for more patients? The goal is quality over quantity—something that Barrett and I talk about on our podcast (listen to the full episode here).
