Online Master Class with Dr. Steve Carstensen

July 26, 2024 | 11:00am - 1:00pm EST

Objectives:

  • Dentists will be able to implement protocols to assess breathing function in their patient population.
  • Dentists will be able to relate breathing function to observed dental problems and integrate airway therapy into dental health services.
  • Dentists will be able to communicate how important airway function is critical at every stage of life.

Course Description:

Dentists in primary care dental offices have a unique opportunity to add to their vital dental health services by improving their patients' overall health with breathing and airway support. Beyond simple oral device therapy, primary care dentists can help people change their health trajectory by screening, facilitating testing if necessary, and guiding growth of the airway support anatomy in children. Adults have many more options today; the dentist is often the gateway to evaluating these options and is vital in helping people choose their best path.
