Invest In Your Team Members
People are your practice’s largest expense. It takes a lot of money to pay team members and keep them in your practice. When pay day rolls around, many dentists start to wonder, “How can I save money?” They think cutting back on team members is the answer. Let me tell you: it’s not!
Many dentists think they can do what they do with less team members. The thing is, they’ll never be able to run a practice on their own. Every team member’s role is valuable. Yeah, they’re a large expense, and it’s an expense you can’t live without.
Team members aren’t a huge cost. They’re a huge investment!
When you treat team members like an investment, they’ll feel valued and appreciated. You have to make people feel like they play an important role in the practice’s success (because they do). Treating your team like an investment will also make them feel more comfortable talking about money. Give them room to stand up and ask for a raise!
Show the team you care by sharing about investing in people. Plus, you can learn more ways to compensate your team beyond paychecks by listening to our podcast episode with Robyn Reis.
