A lot of dental stories start the same. You graduate from dental school, then you buy a small practice. This is how it began for Dr. Kym Fritz-Pluym and Dr. Evan Pluym. Unfortunately, owning a private practice wasn’t the dream they thought it would be.
No one taught Kym and Evan how to be leaders. They felt pressured to have all the answers, when in reality, they didn’t. As they struggled to lead the practice, Kym and Evan cycled through associates who didn’t fit their vision. Culture was lacking, and they weren’t aligned.
Kym and Evan didn’t know what to do. They considered selling the practice, even if it meant giving up on their dream.
